It is hereby notified that the Vice-Chancellor has passed orders to reconstitute the General Council of the Mahatma Gandhi University Union, 2009-’10, with effect from 09.02.2010, with the Councillors to the University Union from affiliated Colleges and University Departments, elected as per University directives (as per clause 6.2.2 of the interim verdict of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in SLP No.24295/2004) as members under clauses 8 and 21 of the Bye-Laws of the Mahatma Gandhi University Union for students, exercising powers under Section 10.(17) of the Mahatma Gandhi  University Act., 1985. The members of the General Council shall hold office for a term of one year from the date of this notification or till the reconstitution of the General Council, whichever is earlier. The list of members is appended to this notification. Complaints, if any, regarding the list of members shall be forwarded to the Registrar on or before the last date prescribed for receiving complaints, in the notification for election to the Mahatma Gandhi University Union which will be issued immediately.
