Dr.G.P.Ramachandra is Professor at the School of International Relations and Politics. Dr.Ramachandra was born in Trivandrum, Kerala in 1946. He took his B.A (Hons.) and M.A in History from the University of Malaya and PhD in History from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. After working at the Department of History, University of Malaya, the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapore and the Netaji Institute of Asian Studies, Calcutta, Dr.Ramachandra joined the School of International Relations and Politics in 1988.
Dr.Ramachandra‘s areas of interest are Philosophy, International Ethics, International Politics, International Terrorism and Southeast Asian Studies. He has published articles in such journals as Journal of Malaysian Branch of Royal Asiatic Society, Journal of Southeast Asian Studies, Journal of Indian History, and Journal of Indian Council of Philosophical Research and in edited books. He has been Hull-Malaya Scholar (1970-74) ASEAN Research Fellow at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapore (1978-79), Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Advance Study, Shimla (1996-1998) and Residential Fellow of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (2002).
