Dr. K.N. Harilal, Reader, has been teaching in the School since 1990. After completing postgraduation from the Department of Economics, University of Kerala, he joined the Centre for Development Studies (CDS) for research. He was awarded M.Phil and Ph.D by Jawaharlal University, New Delhi.
His areas of interest include International Economics, Political Economy, Trade and Development Economics. Dr. Harilal has served a Consultant to the State Planning Board, Kerala during the 1990s. Dr. Harilal has visited various universities and research institutes in India and abroad.
Currently, Dr. Harilal is on lien and serves as Associate Fellow at the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram.
