Eligibility for the M.A Programmes


Graduates in Economics/Politics/History/Law with not less than 45 per cent marks for Part III or graduates in English/ Sociology/ Anthropology/Psychology/Geography/Philosophy/Commerce with not less than 50 per cent or graduates in Science with 60 per cent marks for Part III. There are 20 seats for M.A in Politics and International Relations of which 5 seats are reserved for foreign students. For M.A in Politics and Human Rights there are 12 seats of which 2 seats are reserved for foreign students

Admission

Admissions to M.A programmes are made on the basis of an entrance test and an interview. The marks for preparing the final rank list are in the proportion of 50:40:10 (qualifying examination: entrance test: interview). There is weightage of marks for proficiency in sports/games/NCC/NSS etc. Communal reservation will be followed on the basis of university/ government rules.
